Going through 10 years of establishment and development, the Central Coast Museum of Nature has formed 3 basic sets of specimens including: the set of typical geological and mineral specimens with 187 samples; the set of fish specimens in the Huong River and Tam Giang lagoon - Cau Hai with 1.400 samples and the set of wood specimens with 28 types.

The Central Coast Museum of Nature is under the Provincial Science and Technology Department. The unit functions are learning into the process of natural establishment and development, natural elements in Central Coast; collecting, identifying, classifying and manipulating to display and introduce to students and the public.

On this occasion, the Central Coast Museum of Nature signed cooperation with 2 units including Sao La reserve and Centre for Conservation of Vietnam Natural Resources and Rescue of Animals and Plants. At the same time, the museum also held a scientific conference to build up the basic information system on the natural specimens belonging to the central coast provinces.
