Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong presents a souvenir to the Dutch Consul General

At the reception, Mr. Carel Richter expressed his pleasure at the development of Thua Thien Hue province in the past time. Mr. Carel Richter said that this working visit would contribute to the development of the bilateral relations between the Dutch Government and Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee.

On this occasion, members of the delegation also wished to learn about the provincial master plans and its projects calling for investment, with a focus on the areas such as smart city; airport city; development of seaports and smart ports, coastal protection; water and coastal resources management; high-tech agriculture…

“I’ve learned that Thua Thien Hue province is orienting to a green and clean development and ‘say no to plastic waste’. It is one of the goals that attracts interests from Dutch investors in particular and foreign investors who are also implementing projects based on these criteria,” stressed Mr. Carel Richter.

Vice Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong acknowledged and thanked the Netherlands Government for its interests in supporting the province. He welcomed Dutch companies and corporations for their interests, research and seeking investment opportunities in Thua Thien Hue province and emphasized that, at present, the province is developing with an orientation to a sustainable Green - Clean – Bright urban. Therefore, the province always puts environmental factors first in selecting investors.

The Vice Chairman also extended wishes that the Dutch Government would continue to support the province in current climate change responses as well as introduce Dutch investors to explore investment opportunities within sectors that were strengths of the Netherlands such as agriculture, climate change, water management, seaports, technology and smart cities.
