Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung presentes certificates of merit of the Ministry to the collective and individuals of Hue Industrial College

Attending the anniversary were Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh, Director General of Directorate of Vocational, Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Mr. Phan Ngoc Tho, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Hue Industrial College, formerly known as Ba Cong school, was established on September 12, 1899, under King Thanh Thai’s edict. In 1921, it was transferred to the French Protection Authority to manage and changed into Hue School of Practical Technology.

Over three centuries, Hue Industrial College (Ba Cong School in the past) has trained many generations of pupils and students to become skilled workers and practicing engineers; provide human resources to meet the needs of local and national socio-economic development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho emphasized that in the coming time, the teachers, pupils and students of the college would continue to unite, promote its good traditions and boost researching, applying and transferring technology, apply advanced technology in teaching and learning, renew training programs as well as organize training on national key occupations. The school also needs to strengthen links with businesses, training links with countries with advanced education to gradually standardize high quality human resources to meet regional and international standards.
