Nguyen Luong Sang at the exhibition space

The exhibition displays 14 paintings and 3 installation works that show the journey of Nguyen Luong Sang in creating, contemplating life, environment and sovereignty of the sea.

The paintings are painted by Nguyen Luong Sang with oil paints and acrylic. The installation works are stories about the sea using materials from broken barge boards, wood of boats, iron and items ... floating on the sea of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue.

“The sea has many stories in its heart. In the days when I wandered by the sea, I realized that it could cover many things. The things I find sometimes are not in the same physical forms as they were at the beginning, they are eroded, kneaded  and crushed into new forms. Those things can have smooth surface, or they can also be rough and shattered with the story of time,” Nguyen Luong Sang shared.

Nguyen Luong Sang was born in 1981 in Quang Binh. He is currently a lecturer, Head of Fine Arts Department, Quang Binh University.

The exhibition takes place until October 28.
