At the tournament, more than 200 male and female athletes from 7 Ward Units, 3 Workers Units and 11 Youth Union Members Units competed in 3km run for females and 4 km run for males.
After the competition, Xuan Phu Ward won the First Prize of the Wards Unit, the Ethnic Minority Boarding School won the First Prize of the Youth Union Members Unit.
Director of Hue Cultural and Sports Center, Mr. Bui Ngoc Chanh, said that this is a wholesome activity suitable for all ages, which contributes to spreading the movement of sports and physical training to every citizen.
“The tournament is the basis for assessing the marathon movement in the city, proceeding to select potential athletes to foster and participate in provincial tournaments and higher ones in the future.” Mr. Chanh added.
