Medrix Organization (USA) sponsors water filter equipments for kindergartens in Hue

Through the project "Improving healthcare and sanitation situation in risk zones of Thua Thien Hue province" funded by Medrix Organization (USA), from November 22 to 25, the provincial Center for Disease Control in coordination with the Department of Education and Training visited and supported Life Straw water filter equipments for kindergartens in difficult areas in Quang Dien and Nam Dong districts.

In particular, Nam Dong district had 4 units receiving the equipments, including kindergartens in Thuong Quang, Thuong Long, Huong Huu and Thuong Nhat communes. 4 units receiving the equipments in Quang Dien district were kindergartens in Quang Thanh, Quang Ngan, Quang Cong and Quang Loi communes.

At the kindergartens receiving equipment support, Medrix representatives and members of the provincial Center for Disease Control also surveyed to assess the actual needs of clean water, environment, epidemics and common injury cases involving children in localities.

Through this survey, Medrix organization will work out plans to conduct training to provide knowledge and skills for teachers and preschool children to prevent common risks, injuries and diseases affecting public health in coming time.
