The activity took place at the awarding ceremony of the “Top 100 Asia integration typical manager and intellectual" held in the capital city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 21 to 23 November.
Until now, in Thua Thien Hue, People's Doctor, Prof. Dr. Vo Tam is the only intellectual to have received this title.
The awarding ceremony of Top 100 "Asia integration typical manager and intellectual" is one of the two major contents of the program "ASIA International Economic Forum 2019". This is an event leading towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum which will take place in November 2019, in response to the Politburo's Resolution No. 22-NQ / TW on international economic integration.
The program was sponsored, certified and supported by the Central Propaganda Department of Vietnam, Cambodian Chamber of Commerce, Vietnam Union of UNESCO Associations, Asian Entrepreneurs Association in Singapore, Ministry of Trade of Cambodia, Ministry of Communications, Culture and Tourism of Laos, Vietnam Scientific Union of Entrepreneurs, Vietnam Institute of Talent and Intelligence.

Prof. Dr. Vo Tam is former Vice Rector of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (2009-2019). He successfully defended his doctorate in medicine, majoring in nephrology in 2004. He received his Associate Professor title in 2009 and Professor title in 2016. He was awarded the People's Doctor title in 2017 and was awarded the Second-Class Labor Medal in 2018.
He is the Standing Member of Vietnam Organ Transplant Association for the term 2015-2020; Vice President of Vietnam Urological Association, term 2015-2020; Vice President of Vietnam Association of Rheumatology, term 2017-2022; President of Thua Thien Hue Association of Rheumatology, term 2019-2024.
With many contributions in the cause of education and medical examination and treatment, People's Doctor, Prof. Dr. Vo Tam has received many certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, Minister of Health, Minister of Education and Training, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, ... and many other provincial and ministerial scientific and technological innovation awards. Most recently (August 16, 2019), People’s Doctor, Prof. Dr. Vo Tam was awarded the 2019 Vietnam Golden Intellectual Plaque by the Vietnam Institute of Economic and Cultural Human Resources Development.
