Establishment of typical flower routes

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee surveyed some main streets such as Le Loi, Tran Hung Dao, walking routes along the banks of Huong River, and parks in Hue city.

Taking a survey along the roads, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that people often associate Hue with some typical flower-bearing trees such as: parasol, sugar palm, yellow apricot blossoms, flamboyant, nutgall, camphor, crape myrtle... This can be considered a unique feature, creating an impression for visitors to remember Hue. The tree paths and flower roads of Hue have long been portrayed in poetry and songs, so it is necessary to search for and restore these roads.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned Hue Green Park Center to study and search for the trees that have been associated with Hue to plant and form greenery and flower routes, creating highlights for Hue tourism. Chairman of the provincial People's Committee suggested that apricot blossom is a well-known flower tree of Hue and many people know of it. So, the Green Park Center should continue to expand the existing apricot garden, and at the same time plant about 150 apricot trees from the entrance of Nha Do gate to Le Duan Street, gradually forming an apricot path along this route.

The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee suggested Hue Green Park Center to find the right Hue yellow apricot (yellow apricot blossom). In addition, apricot trees must be of a certain age, since this is a type of tree that is not easy to grow from seedlings and does not flower right away in a few years. At the same time, as they are valuable trees, there must be ways to take care of, protect, and prevent theft of trees.

Focus on urban embellishment

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho said that the spring of 2020 is approaching and Hue Festival 2020 is also coming. This is the time when guests and people gather in Hue city. Therefore, Hue city must be upgraded to create a good impression on visitors when they visit the romantic ancient capital.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the city leaders to call for investment; socialize investment in parks, walkways and lighting projects; exploit capital from advertising; strengthen advertising system by LED screen; focus on urban architecture of Le Loi Street, especially on decoration of flowers, trees, flower lights to create a highlight for the city center.

Another task which the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee mentioned was to continue mobilizing and speeding up the dismantling of barriers at agencies and departments along the main streets of Le Loi to create open space for people and traveler. Hue city not only aims to build a smart, civilized - polite, green - clean - beautiful - bright city, but Hue must also aim to build a beautiful elegant image that is unique in the eyes of the local people and tourists from near and far.

Paying attention to setting up public toilets

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho said that, currently, the system of public toilets in Hue city has not yet been modernized to meet the needs of residents and tourists. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed Hue City People's Committee to collaborate with the relevant research unit to build a system of underground public toilets in combination with the above-ground section to sell souvenirs and gifts and to display books and cultural institutions.

"In many countries with strong tourism development, the public toilet system is very well invested; some places also become places to "check in" and take photos of tourists. Therefore, Hue City must urgently have a plan to invest in standard, friendly, close and modern public toilets, because this is a measure for tourists to assess the civilization of a locality," the Chairman emphasized.
