A receptionist at Century Riverside Hotel Hue gives free face masks to visitors before going sightseeing in Hue
Earlier, from January 30, the Tourism Association had launched the prevention of pneumonia campaign in order to prevent the disease. Accordingly, the Tourism Association has asked hotels and travel agencies to provide free face masks and antiseptic water to their guests at the reception desks of the hotels and offices of travel agencies.
By the afternoon of February 1, according to statistics, more than 30 three to five-star hotels have provided free face masks and antiseptic water at the reception desks. In addition, some travel agencies and mini hotels in Hue City have also followed the move. It is expected that in the coming days, the number of hotels and travel agencies will continue to increase, with the goal that 100 percentage of accommodation establishments and travel agencies will hand out free face masks and antiseptic water to visitors.
As for the hotel staff, they are encouraged to wear medical face masks when directly communicating and serving guests. Besides, the hotline number of Dr. Hoang Van Duc, Director of the Provincial Center for Social Disease Prevention and Control, of the Provincial Department of Health, at 091 420 2681, is also provided at the reception desks, for timely information of suspected infected visitors.
Currently, the Travel Association and the Tour Guide Association in coordination with the Provincial Tourism Association have mobilized more than 5,000 medical face masks (in the first phase) to be transferred to Phu Bai International Airport and provided for free to visitors travelling to Hue by airway from February 3.
