The bamboo lines have just been planted on Le Van Huu street in the middle of Tinh Tam lake
At the time of checking, Hue Monuments Conservation Center was planting bamboos along the two sides of Le Van Huu street (Kim Oanh dike), at the same time making bamboo embankments to preserve soil and prevent landslides.
Mr. Vo Le Nhat - Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center said that this was a temporary solution to keep the land on both sides of the sidewalk as well as to create the landscape of the lake area. Then, the Center would study to have a reasonable, long-term and sustainable solution for repairing and embellishing.
Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho highly appreciated that Hue Monuments Conservation Center has implemented solutions to renovate the Tinh Tam Lake area.
"Tinh Tam lake is a famous landmark of Hue. Preserving and promoting the lake's value is essential for this place to become an attractive destination for tourists and residents. It is important to pay attention to the originality of the elements that made up the monument. The immediate thing to do is to focus on wastewater treatment and environmental improvement; when people have a sense of protecting the heritage, the restoration and embellishment will make sense,” the Chairman said.
