On the morning of June 12, the Organizing Board of Hue Festival 2020 re-announced the main programs that will be held at Hue Festival 2020, the 11th of its kind. Hue Festival 2020 will be taken place from August 28 to September 2.

Specifically, there will be seven programs to be held, including the Opening Art Program, taken place at 20:00 on August 28 at the Noon Gate Square; the Street Parades: “Colors of Cultures”, taken place at 16:30 from August 29 to September 2 on the main streets in the city of Hue; the Cuisine-festival: “Hue – Capital of Gastronomy”, taken place from August 29 to September 2 at Thuong Bac Park; the Trinh Cong Son’s Music show, taken place at 20:00 on August 30 at the Noon Gate stage; the Program “Ai đã đặt tên cho dòng sông” (“Who named the river"), taken place at 20:00 on August 31 at Nghenh Luong Dinh; the Electronic Dance Music (EDM) Festival, taken place at 20:30 on September 1 at the Tu Do Stadium; and the Closing Art Program - Ao Dai Performance, taken place at 20:00 on September 2 at the Noon Gate Square.

In addition, the community cultural, and sports activities will also be taken place continuously before, during and after the festival period, including events in the chain of activities of the Ao Dai Festival, the festival of national art clubs, the Kites festival, the Beer festival, the trade fair, the traditional boat race, the SUP boat race, the VnExpress Hue Marathon, as well as art showcases and exhibitions, etc.

The Organizing Board of Hue Festival 2020 said that overcoming difficulties and challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Hue Festival would continue to be held as an evidence to the intense vitality of the land where the cultural elite of the nation converges, and an opportunity to promote friendly and safe destinations of Hue and Vietnam, creating the driving force to promote and restore social and economic development, especially tourism economy of Thua Thien Hue Province.
