Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho introducing Truc Chi art to the French Republic Ambassador to Vietnam

The French Republic Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery said that the purpose of this visit and working session in Thua Thien Hue Province was to strengthen the traditional cooperation relationship between Vietnam and the French Republic in general, and the French Republic and Thua Thien Hue Province in particular.

The Ambassador affirmed that Thua Thien Hue Province was the leading cooperation partner of the French Republic in Vietnam and thanked Thua Thien Hue Province for facilitating and supporting the activities of France in Hue, including the bilingual program in Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, developing and raising to a higher scale of the French Institute in Hue.

In the coming time, the French Republic Ambassador to Vietnam will continue to support Thua Thien Hue Province, especially to accompany and participate in organizing Hue Festivals. The Ambassador also hopes to receive the assistance from the provincial leaders to carry out some French activities in Hue and provide French translation technical assistance service to facilitate students learning abroad, including Hue students who go to France for advanced study.

At the meeting, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho would want the Ambassador to continue to pay attention and take practical activities so as to enhance the cooperation between Vietnam and France, and between Thua Thien Hue Province and the localities in France, continuing to promote the comprehensive cooperation in the fields of education, health, tourism, investment attraction, and heritage conservation, especially promoting the local culture to the French partners by encouraging French localities to participate in the unique art programs in Hue Festivals to introduce French culture in Vietnam.

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho also hopes that France will promote the unique art culture of Vietnam and Thua Thien Hue Province to friends around the world via the Festivals. The provincial leaders will always accompany the French activities in Hue, and work specifically with related departments, sectors and units to implement the most effective activities.
