Admire "The Shape of Sound" with the late artist Vo Xuan Huy and his daughter

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of July 6, the art event "The Shape of Sound" was organized by the Thua Thien Hue Fine Arts Association in collaboration with Song Huong Magazine and the family of the late artist Vo Xuan Huy at 9 Pham Hong Thai St.

The No Cai Bum Contemporary Art Week openedThe story of "Nghiem"

Vo Ha Hanh Nhan and friends perform contemporary art

The late artist Vo Xuan Huy (1970 - 2016) was an outstanding young artist of Hue in the field of lacquer painting – a traditional art form of the nation. His talent was recognized by the art community of the ancient capital, as he mastered academic painting, particularly lacquer painting, by transcending the conventional frameworks, dimensions, and notions to create his own unique world and language in the realm of Vietnamese visual arts.

Artist Vo Ha Hanh Nhan, the daughter of the late artist Vo Xuan Huy, has a formal music background: piano, composition at the Hue Academy of Music, and at Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory with many awards.

Eight years after the late artist Vo Xuan Huy passed away, Hanh Nhan met and conversed with her father in "The Shape of Sound." This is a dialogue of yin and yang, between Vo Xuan Huy's art and the talent of young artist Vo Ha Hanh Nhan. Hanh Nhan and her friends performed contemporary music against the backdrop of 24 abstract lacquer paintings by her father, the late artist Vo Xuan Huy.

The event takes place over a week, from July 6 to July 12.
