Conservation and adaptive restoration of two houses of the Nine Holy Cannons

TTH.VN - From December 21 to 25, Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a consultation on the design of the project "Conservation and adaptive restoration of two houses of the Nine Holy Cannons”. The venue for opinion gathering took place at The Nhon gate, through suggestion forms.

Design plan to restore the Nine Holy Cannons’ houses

The project " Conservation and adaptive restoration of two houses of the Nine Holy Cannons" at the The Nhon gate is invested by Hue Monuments Conservation Center. Hue Monuments Restoration Joint Stock Company is the consulting agency. The project will be carried out in 3 years.

The work is to be restored in the form of traditional architecture with 5 compartments and 2 wings, including: repairing the wooden frame, painting to preserve the entire wooden frame, restoring non-glazed tile roofing, restoring the undecorated roof system, restoring of the system of walls covering the four corners of the project and the semi-circular arched door, the tiled floors in the Công letter pattern. .. 

According to historical documents, the houses of the Nine Holy Cannons are two wooden relics with tile roofing, used to protect 9 bronze cannons. This is a destination of tourist groups every time they visit Hue.

The investment in conservation and adaptive restoration of the two houses of the Nine Holy Cannons is aimed at honoring and promoting the unique historical and cultural values of the work, making an important contribution to the overall goal of the completing the entire architecture - landscape - culture and art of the Ky Dai - Ngo Mon area, step by step completing the overall planning of the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty.
