Exhibition "Emperor Thieu Tri with Hue's cultural and fine art life”

TTH.VN - Bringing to visitors information about the life and reign of Emperor Thieu Tri - the third emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty - and associating historical documents with museum antiques, the exhibition "Emperor Thieu Tri with Hue's cultural and fine art life” at Hue Museum of Royal Antiques (No. 3 Le Truc St., Hue City) has left an impression in the hearts of tourists and viewers.

The exhibition introduces about Emperor Thieu Tri (1841-1847) with cultural – poetry works, shown through the famous Than kinh nhi thap canh (Twenty beautiful scenes in the capital) (the poems which rank 20 famous landscapes of the capital) along with illustrative images of some landscapes which remain to this day; poems made by the king which had been carved in Long An Palace - also a part of the documentary heritage literature on Hue royal architecture which has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Documentary Heritage in the Asia – Pacific region.

In addition, this exhibition also introduces Emperor Thieu Tri and his imprints on royal art decor, reflected in the style of ordered porcelain and blue enamels with unique decorative forms of the Thieu Tri period.

The exhibition is open from September 5 to December 25, 2019.

Heritages in the treasure trove​ of Vietnamese cultural heritage

Ngo Mon Bell, the Throne of Emperor Duy Tan, the Stone Relief under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang and the Dragon Statue under the reign of Emperor Thieu Tri are the four artifacts requesting National Treasure Recognition in 2024. The Stone Relief under the reign of Emperor Minh Mang is currently on display for close-up look at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.
