Exhibition of "Hue, where quintessential antiquities converge"
TTH.VN - The ceremony of receiving donated artifacts and opening the exhibition of "Hue, where quintessential antiquities converge" was held by the Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with UNESCO Vietnam's Centre for research and conservation of antiquities and Hue Antiques Collectors Club. Mr. Bui Thanh Ha, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the event.
The porcelain in the Nguyen Dynasty
The exhibition features more than 240 antiques, mainly porcelain cups, dishes, teapots, etc. from the collections of antiques collectors of Le Hoi, Tran Thanh Tuan, Duong Van Dung and monk Thich Phap Lac. These are rare precious antiques, with historical values and introduced to the public for the first time.
The delicate porcelain used in daily life
At the exhibition, visitors can enjoy the porcelain and pottery of Vietnam from the 18th to the 19th century, especially the pottery series of Vietnamese feudal dynasties, from the Le-Trinh time to the Nguyen Dynasty, which are displayed in 4 topics, including: The porcelain in the Le-Trinh time, the porcelain in the Nguyen Lords’ time, the porcelain in the Tay Son Dynasty, and the porcelain in the Nguyen Dynasty.
Jewellery of the 19th century
On this occasion, the Museum of History receives more than 260 artifacts donated by 56 antique collectors, who are members of the UNESCO Vietnam's Centre for research and conservation of antiquities, members of Antiques Association and antique collectors from the southern provinces.
