Hue comes alive with “Tet Hue” Festival 2024
TTH.VN - The “Tet Hue” Festival organized by Hue city is set to kick off a series of activities to welcome the new year 2024, with the highlight being the “Tet Hue” program organized annually on the occasion of celebrating the nation's traditional Tet.

The Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee has recently issued a plan for organizing the “Tet Hue” Festival in 2024. This series of activities, celebrating both the Party and the Lunar New Year, aims to continue and promote the achievements and elevate the success of the previous “Tet Hue” festivals held since 2018, while solidifying the brand and stature of the Festival City.
The series spans from January 1st to February 19th, 2024, featuring activities to welcome the New Year. It commences with the “Blooming Spring” art program on the evening of January 1st at the Hai Ba Trung pedestrian street and concludes with the Sinh Village Wrestling Festival on February 19th in Phu Mau commune. Notably, the “Tet Hue” Festival will take place over five days from February 1st to February 5th, 2024, at Ngo Mon Square in Hue, including activities such as the opening ceremony of the “Tet Hue” Festival, the traditional jam and cake-making competition, the “Flavors of Tet” wrapping and cooking traditional Chung and Tet cakes competition, as well as exhibition booths showcasing and promoting Hue's products, souvenirs, handicrafts, specialties, and exemplary local businesses. The 2024 “Tet Hue” Festival also includes an incense offering ceremony and an artistic re-enactment of the Coronation and Grand Victory of Emperor Quang Trung on January 6th at Mount Ban; Giap Thin Spring Festival from February 3rd to February 14th; New Year's Eve art show on February 9th at Quoc Hoc Square, followed by a comprehensive music and dance program to celebrate Spring on February 11th at Quoc Hoc Square stage.
