The Dance Artists Association presents “Ganh hang rong xu Hue”

TTH.VN - On the evening of August 26, at the Provincial Labor Cultural House, the Alliance of Arts and Literature Association of Thua Thien Hue held a performance and recorded the dance and poetry program “Ganh hang rong xu Hue” (Street Vendors of Hue).

The work has the participation of nearly 70 dance artists 

This is an art program held by the Alliance of Arts and Literature Association in collaboration Thua Thien Hue Dance Artists Association, following Thua Thien Hue’s project of Arts and Literature Development for the period of 2021 – 2025, at the same time, heading towards the celebration of 50th anniversary of National Reunification (1975 – 2025).

Ganh hang rong xu Hue” is an artwork with its script featured by the poet Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Alliance of Arts and Literature of Thua Thien Hue. The artistic direction is provided by the People’s Artist Bach Hac, Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Dance Artist Association; The overall choreography is led by artists Mai Trung, Bach Mai, and the participation of young choreographers and other dance artists from the Royal Art Theater, Hue Reformed Chamber Music Theater, and the Thua Thien Hue Intermediate School of Culture and Arts.

In the work, the artists use physical expression to depict various scenes, including a mother enduring childbirth, a mother struggling for a living amidst the bustling life, participating in demonstrations during the urban struggle, sheltering soldiers, and the image of 11 Huong River girls. Poet Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc shared: “Today, the image of the Hue street vendors, who continue to earn a living amidst the busy currents of life, has contributed to the cultural culinary values of Hue. It helps to build Hue into a centrally governed city”.
