Van Cu is a village located along the Bo River (Huong Toan commune, Huong Tra town). In the past, in order to follow the elaborate rice noodle-making profession, the villagers had to work very hard andclunky with many tools, such as the pestle and mortar to pound rice noodle; mold to twist rice noodle; furnace to boil rice noodle; baskets... Nowadays, Van Cu people know how to use modern machinery to free up labor, bring high productivity and ensure food hygiene and safety.
Van Cu rice noodles are ivory white, fragrant like freshly ground rice. Finished products are delivered daily to markets, restaurants and eateries in the province, contributing to creating the brand name for the famous Bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle).
