Sowing and planting from January, depending on each variety and way of care, the harvest time can come after around 60 to 90 days. The countryside areas of Thua Thien Hue that have the strength of cultivating corn are Quang Loi (Quang Dien district), Huong An, Huong Tho (Hue city), etc. The corn variety chosen to plant is glutinous corn, although it is not too big but soft, fragrant, and has a naturally-sweetness taste. With these features, the gourmets just have to look over it to distinguish Hue corn from that of other localities. Hue corns can be used to cook sweet soup, and they can be tasty dishes when taking the corns to be boiled or grilled.
