Me Ly Homestay (Sub-quarter 9, Phu Loc town, Phu Loc district, 45 km north of Hue city) is a peaceful and poetic place in harmony with the cool green mountains.

That was the theme of the international conference held by the University of Tourism – Hue University in collaboration with Africa and Middle East Research Institute on the morning of July 14. Attending the conference were the leaders of departments, units, and businesses in the provincial area.

According to the recent survey result, the main tourist flux to Hue in this period of recovery is from the North. Being proactive in connecting and supplying better products are the tasks offered to the tourism sector of Hue Ancient Capital.

It is forecasted that the end of 2022 would be the earliest possible time for regular European and North American tourists to return to the country; however, Hue has welcomed its first groups of visitors just recently.

On May 21, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development held a ceremony of releasing fish to regenerate aquatic resources in the Huong River. Attending the event were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh and Director of International Organization for Conservation of Nature of Norway Karoline Andaur.

Quang Loi lagoon, which is located about 30km North of Hue City, in Quang Loi Commune, Quang Dien District, is one of the lagoons in Tam Giang lagoon system, with an area of ​​nearly 800 hectares.

The relic site of Nguyen Tri Phuong and the prince consort Nguyen Lam’s tombs is located in Dai Phu Village, Phong Chuong Commune (Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province). From the center of Hue City, visitors can go along Highway 1A northward 30km to Phong Dien Town, Phong Dien District, Thua Thien Hue Province; and then turn right along the Provincial Road 6 about 15km.

“What a pity. I didn’t have a chance to stop by the city of yellow apricot blossoms (ochna integerrima) for a check-in.” It was a message I received from a tourist acquaintance when she and her family just had a north-south backpacking trip after a long ceasing time due to Covid-19.

I was invited to take a ‘Green Hue’ sightseeing trip. Standing on Gia Vien bridge and look northwards on a sunny day, I saw River Huong was supported with different colors: yellow of the Golden Shower tree, scarlet of the Flamboyant, velvet of the crape-myrtle, blue of the sky and green of water. It made me think of a picture of happiness and well-being in the deep memory of more than thirty years: Sinh paintings.
