As a central city with a vast area and a large population, especially after the expansion of its administrative boundaries, Hue City has focused on building e-government and smart city to create favorable conditions for local people as well as to improve the state management capacity of local staff, in addition to investing in completing its infrastructure and embellishing its cityscape.

The conservation of architecture and heritage city (HC) landscape plays a critical role in concretizing the target of turning Hue into a centrally-run city. On this issue, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a talk about the conservation of architecture and HC landscape.

Subsequent to one full year of Hue City administrative boundary expansion, the urban infrastructure from the central area to new communes and wards has been connected and perfected, contributing to the socio-economic development promotion. The people lining up in a long procession solemnly bringing the Holy Mother through the central streets of Hue city created a colorful, but dignified and reverent sight. With the aim of turning Hue into a "City of bike", by the end of this April, 2022, Hue City People’s Committee collaborates with German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and VIETSOFTPRO Joint Stock Company (VPS) to conduct a pilot program of public shared bike service in the central areas of the city.

This service is launched by the Provincial People’s Committee in collaboration with German Agency for Development Cooperation (GIZ) and VIETSOFTPRO Joint Stock Company (VPS) from April 29 in city central area.
