Hundreds of thousands of Han Nom (Chinese-Nom script) document pages scattered in many villages and clans across the province have been processed and digitized in a scientific and methodical manner. Few know that this work was silently undertaken by a group of officers and experts of the Thua Thien Hue General Library. Many Han Nom documents after being digitized were also published to the surprise of the public and experts.

On the morning of July 12th, Phu Xuan University organized an exchange session on Han - Nom calligraphy, aiming to introduce and promote the art of calligraphy to a large number of students in the university.

Close to 420,000 pages of Han Nom documents have been digitized - a figure recently announced by the Provincial General Library, bringing joy to researchers.

The collection and digitization of Han-Nom (Sino-Demotic characters) documentary heritage has been carried out for many years in many clans, private residences, villages and communes throughout the province. This quiet work is still being pursued by staff of the Provincial General Library, in the hope of preserving the ancient documents passed down by our ancestors.

This was the topic of a scientific workshop, which was organized by the Provincial General Library on the afternoon of December 30. The workshop was aimed to comprehensively evaluate the conservation and promotion of the value of Han - Nom (Sino- Demotic characters) heritage, ​​collected and digitized in the past time.
