Thousands of people and visitors flocked to the streets to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new year. In the cool weather with a vibrant music stage, the Countdown - Happy New Year 2024 art program, with an outdoor stage located at the intersection of Hung Vuong Street, Hue City, lasting from the night of December 31 to the dawn of the new year on January 1, 2024, became a highlight in the heart of the ancient capital.

The boat racing festival took place on the morning of December 31 on the Như Y River (at the community tourism site of Thanh Toan Tiled-roof Bridge). This is one of the highlights of the New Year 2024 celebrations and in response to the Four Seasons Festival organized by Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town).

At 20:00 on December 31, 2023, the Hue Countdown - Happy New Year 2024 program will return at the intersection of Hung Vuong Street, Hue City, promising to bring the most eye-catching and exciting performances to audience of the Ancient Capital. The most anticipated star at this event is rapper Hieuthuhai.

According to the information from Hue City People's Committee, Hue Countdown - Happy New Year 2024 program will take place at 20:00 on December 31 at the intersection of Hung Vuong Street, Hue City. This is an art program to welcome the new year, with the participation of Hue talents, as well as famous singers and artists namely Hieuthuhai, Orange, and Dinh Xuan Ky, etc.

According to the information from Hue City People's Committee, the art program ‘Countdown - Happy New Year 2023’, organized by Hue City People's Committee and implemented by Ultra Larita Co., Ltd., with the sponsorship of Carlsberg Vietnam Co., Ltd., will take place from 19:00 on December 31, 2022 to 00:20 on January 1, 2023 at the intersection of Hung Vuong Street, Hue city.

Accordingly, with the theme "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development", Hue Festival 2023 will be held with successive activities throughout the year, starting with the Opening ceremony for the Festival, the Ban Sóc Calendar Issue Ceremony on January 1st, 2023 and ends with the Countdown Program on December 31, 2023.

On the night of December 31, Hue University of Education held an art program called “Welcoming New Year 2022 – Connection and Shining” with the message from the rector to the whole officials, lecturers, trainees, and students of the university.

This information has just been announced by Mr. Vo Le Nhat - Chairman of Hue City People's Committee at the meeting on December 21 to discuss the opening and community art activities of the Imperial City Night Quarter. Previously, Hue City planed to open the Night Quarter on January 1, 2022.
