In September 1969, upon hearing the news of Uncle Ho's death, people of all ethnic groups here set up an altar for Uncle Ho and voluntarily changed their surname to Ho to show their respect to Uncle Ho. More than 50 years since he passed away, that sentiment is still very deep in the minds of the people here.

On the morning of January 1, at Ngo Mon Gate - Hue Imperial Citadel, the Provincial People's Committee organized the announcement of Hue Festival 2023 with the first activity being the re-enactment of the Nguyen Dynasty Ban calendar distribution ceremony.

After more than 50 years, the road procession of Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) was re-enacted, starting from Thien Tien Thanh Giao Holy Place (352 Chi Lang, Hue City) to Nghinh Luong Dinh before boarding the boat to sail upstream to the temple. The long procession with more than 400 people going through the streets created an impressive sight, attracting a large number of locals and tourists to attend.
