Under the ancient Nguyen Dynasty, the ceremony of lowering Neu tree was performed to mark the end of the Tet holiday and the normal life of work resumed.

For the first time, more than 100 documents, containing royal seals and autographs, along with many images about the story of the construction of Hue Imperial Citadel, were vividly reenacted through an exhibition held right in the Flag Tower (Ky Dai) area, the Upper Surface of the Citadel rampart, Hue Imperial Citadel.

As the Department of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced, on November 18th, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Dinh Toan Thang, Vietnamese Ambassador to France, Ms. Le Thi Hong Van, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Director General of the Department of Cultural Heritage, together with representatives from Ministry of Public Security (Vietnam), the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, and UNESCO, witnessed the transfer ceremony of the ‘Emperor’s Treasure’ golden seal to Vietnam on the afternoon of November 16th at the Vietnamese Embassy in France.

Marking the end of the Lunar New Year holiday, on the morning of the 7th day of Lunar New Year (January 28, 2023), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held a ceremony to lower the Neu pole and open the seal to greet the new year at The Mieu Temple and Trieu Mieu Temple - Imperial City.

Subsequent to reaching an agreement with Vietnam, on the evening of November 15, Millon Auction House officially announced the auction cancellation of the “Hoàng đế chi bảo” (Emperor’s treasure) gold seal.

The negotiation between the two sides on the repatriation of the “Hoàng đế chi bảo” (Emperor’s Treasure) gold seal yielded good results, correctly taking the steps in the roadmap for implementing the Plan for the repatriation of antiques drawn up by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and submitted to the Prime Minister.

The People's Committee of the province has issued an official document to the Prime Minister on proposing the approval of the policy of allowing socialization to repatriate the “Hoàng đế chi bảo” (the Emperor’s treasure) seal. This seal has been publicly auctioned by Millon Auction House in France on its website and has grabbed the attention of antique researchers and collectors.

The treasure of the Nguyen Dynasty is a gold seal cast in 1823 during the reign of King Minh Mang (1820 - 1841) being prepared for auction by an auction company headquartered in France. This information amazes not only the circles of culture, research, and antique collection but also draws special attention from the public because this is prime historical evidence for the history of Vietnam.

The 32 seals on display at the exhibition "Replicas of Nguyen Dynasty Gold Seals" are the product of talented hands of People's Artist Tran Do, from Bat Trang pottery village, Hanoi.

"Replicas of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Gold Seal" is an exhibition organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and opened on the afternoon of June 10 at Ngu Phung floor, Ngo Mon and Imperial Citadel, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the center.
