Hue is known as the land of many types of cakes, from royal cakes offered to emperors to commoner cakes. Among them is a type of cake that few people know about, called “Hồng Đào Nguỵ Quả”; (or commonly known as Gac or Spiny gourd cakes), a cake shaped like a unique fruit that people in Hue present on joyful occasions such as weddings and festivals.
