Awarding of Commendation Certificates of the Provincial People's Committee to 2 American doctors

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of June 6, with the authorization of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, directors of Hue Central Hospital (HCH) presented Commendation Certificates to 2 doctors: Kenneth D. Montgomery, President and Founder of Orthonations (USA), and Matthew Teo S Mendez-Zfass, Co-founder of Orthonations.

 Directors of Hue Central Hospital presented commendation certificates and flowers to the 2 American doctors.

These are two doctors who have made significant contributions to the healthcare sector in the field of trauma-orthopedics-plastic surgery to enhance the efficiency of examination and treatment for patients in the province.

Orthonations (USA) has been collaborating with Hue Central Hospital since 2015. Professor Kenneth Montgomery, an expert in Arthroscopic Joint Surgery and President of Orthonations - American Sports Medicine, has led and supported many collaborative activities over the past 10 years. Annually, Orthonations, comprising of orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and anesthesiologists, comes to Hue Central Hospital to organize workshops, seminars, teaching sessions, and provide guidance, surgical consultations, and experience exchange with colleagues of Hue Central Hospital. Thanks to the contributions of Orthonations, many new techniques have been successfully implemented at HueCentral Hospital, including arthroscopic surgery for shoulder, knee, and ankle joints, as well as shoulder joint replacement surgery.

Moreover, Orthonations also provides scholarships for doctors from the Center for Trauma Orthopedics - Plastic Surgery Unit of Hue Central Hospital to visit leading surgical centers in the States for training, developing new techniques in Arthroscopic Joint Surgery and Sports Medicine, thereby enhancing the professional quality of treatment activities at Hue Central Hospital to international standards.

On June 5th and 6th, Hue Central Hospital also collaborated with Orthonations to organize an arthroscopic joint, joint replacement, and functional restoration workshop. Participants included specialist doctors in sports medicine trauma orthopedics, doctors and functional rehabilitation technicians, and students from medical schools nationwide.

Experts updated their knowledge through topics such as: Arthroscopic Shoulder Joint; Advanced Arthroscopic Knee Joint; Functional Rehabilitation after Total Knee Arthroplasty; Arthroscopic Shoulder and Knee Joint Surgery. Workshop participants also engaged in clinical examinations, consultations, and practical surgeries on some cases.
