Thua Thien Hue cooperates with Japanese company to develop information technology

TTH.VN - On the morning of June 19, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Thien Dinh had a meeting and working session with Mr. Miura Shuhei, Managing Director of Mitani Sangyo Group(Japan), Head of Investment Promotion Department in Vietnam on the development of Information Technology (IT) sector in the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Miura Shuhei expressed his gratitude and thanked the provincial leaders for facilitating and supporting Mitani Sangyo Group to establish a Representative Office in Hue to train and recruit students to work in the field of software engineering for the Group. At the same time, he said that Hue was the best choice to develop IT sector.

Mitani Sangyo Group hopes that in the coming time, it will continue to receive the attention of the provincial leaders as well as the related units in helping the Group to link with universities in the province to develop training for IT human resources. The Group will also study to develop more software design companies in the province; introducing Hue's potentials and strengths to Japanese businesses seeking investment opportunities in Hue.

Vice Chairman Phan Thien Dinh welcomed Mitani Sangyo Group in choosing Hue to open a representative office to develop IT sector, including creating softwares used in thousands of worldwide enterprises and agencies. Affirming that in the socio-economic development strategy, the province is always interested in the field of IT industry development and there are incentives for businesses to invest in this field.

The Provincial Vice Chairman also said that after joining the Quang Trung Software Technology Park chain, the province is actively developing IT sector, making IT industry a key economic sector. He proposed Mitani Sangyo Group to have a long-term IT industry development strategy in Hue and build an IT ecosystem here. In the immediate future, the province will direct departments and branches to coordinate with universities to support training scholarships to 2,000 IT students by 2021, and by 2025, there will be 10,000 IT graduated students to meet the demands for IT human resource for companies.
