Towards the signing of the cooperation agreement on using data at the French School of the Far East - Paris
TTH.VN - As a part of the public program in France, the delegation of Thua Thien Hue province had a meeting with Mrs. Valesrie Guillet - Research Director of the French School of the Far East - Paris (EFEO), together with the participation of research experts, and other experts in preserving the university’s archives and research files.

At the meeting, the two sides had an in-depth discussion on the common cooperation orientations between Vietnam and France in finding, sharing, and using the materials on the Nguyen Dynasty with technical and expert support and assistance of the French Embassy in Vietnam and the French Institution in Hue.
Especially, among the activities to be held in 2023, there will be the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - France diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - France strategic partnership.
Mrs. Valerie Guillet and the delegation discussed in detail about the documents about the Khai Dinh Museum before 1945, which is Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities at present. EFEO had also showed and copied for the delegation all original documents, as well as the list of previous antiquities, museum’s regulations, etc., as the documents to prepare for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities.
Mr. Hoang Viet Trung and the delegation also had in-depth discussions on the methods of backing up the documents about Emperor Ham Nghi and other documents of the Nguyen Dynasty, as well as the researches that EFEO has carried out about Vietnam. The two sides would consider having the leaders of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee, the French School of the Far East, and the French Embassy in Vietnam to sign a cooperation agreement on using data at EFEO to serve the work of heritage preservation in Thua Thien Hue in the coming time.
