92 freshmen overcoming difficulties receive “Giving strength to students” (Tiep suc den truong) scholarship
On August 26, Tuoi Tre Newspaper coordinated with Thua Thien Hue provincial Youth Union to hold the "Giving strength to students" (Tiep suc den truong) scholarship awarding ceremony for 92 freshmen who overcome difficulties.
With the total scholarship grant of 945 million VND, 87 freshmen were awarded the scholarships which are worth 10 million VND per portion; and 5 students with special difficulties received scholarships which are worth 15 million per portion.
The program was mobilized, raised and funded by Thua Thien Hue “Giving strength to students” club. “Giving strength to students” is a scholarship of the "For tomorrow development" (Vi ngay mai phat trien) program of Tuoi Tre newspaper which aims to support freshmen with difficulties to enter university.
Over 15 years, “Giving strength to students” scholarship has supported 16.500 freshmen from difficult background with the total grant of over 95 billion VND. In 2018, Tuoi Tre newspaper coordinates with the Youth Unions of 63 provinces to award scholarships for around 1.000 freshmen from difficult background all over the country with the total grant of over 11 billion VND.
