Continuing to promote Vietnam – Laos relation

Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha suggests the Fatherland Front’s leaders of two localities build plans for propagandizing and educating the people from all walks of life

Addressing at the meeting, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha suggested that the Fatherland Front’s leaders of the two localities should build propaganda and education plans for people from all walks of life, particularly for those living along the border zones on special friendly and comprehensive cooperation relation of Vietnam and Laos in general and two localities in particular. Furthermore, the two localities should keep on strengthening political systems along border areas; carrying out the twinning model and promptly solving the potential problems in the border areas.

Thanks to the cooperation program between the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VCPF) and the Laos Front for National Construction’s chapter in Salavan Province during the period 2012 – 2018, the two localities have maintained and well implemented twinning models between 7 hamlets of Hong Thuy commune (A Luoi) and cluster 2, Co Tai – Laos; between frontier post of Hong Van border Gate, the Provincial Border Guard and the Border Patrol Company 511 and Salavan Provincial Military Headquarters.

Laos Front for National Construction’s chapter in Salavan Province highly appreciates the cooperation models of two localities over the time

At present, there are 469 Laos exchange students in provincial area; in which, Thua Thien Hue has offered 10 annual scholarships for students from Salavan Province. In addition, the province also cooperates and supports Salavan in many fields such as: health care, culture, sports and tourism; cooperating on national defense and protecting border area where border landmarks were set up; gathering and exhuming the remains of Vietnamese revolutionary martyrs, experts and volunteers died in Laos.
