Nearly 400 scientists attend the Archaeological Discoveries Announcement Conference

On September 29 and 30, the Institute of Archaeology coordinated with Hue Monuments Conservation Center to hold the 53th nationwide Archaeological Discoveries Announcement Conference in Hue city.

The 53th nationwide Archaeological Discoveries Announcement Conference 2018 receives 356 reports, in which there are 115 reports about prehistoric archaeology, 180 reports about archaeological history, 41 reports about Champa – Óc Eo archaeology and 10 reports about underwater archaeology.  There are nearly 400 cultural researchers and archeologists participating and discussing in 4 sessions: prehistoric archaeology, historical archaeology, Champa – Óc Eo archaeology and underwater archaeology.

The contents of the reports mention many new archaeological issues in year such as the new announcement about the complex of relics dating back to the paleolithic age in An Khe, finding out the stone drill bit in Hoa Loc, and the first analysis results of the research cooperation project on DNA in archaeology between Vietnam and Sweden, etc.
