This is a photography contest simulating the famous annual photo contest “Canon Marathon” held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. On October 10, the organizing board will offer two topics, with each topic having a three-hour time limit for contestants to roam around the streets, countryside, and craft villages to “hunt” and record beautiful photos following the topics of the organizers. This is a new, attractive and interesting form of photo contest for the photography enthusiast community in Hue Ancient Capital.
The total prize value of the contest in this year is more than VND20 million with many gifts from sponsors. This is also an opportunity for many young newcomers to be able to gain high prizes for themselves.
The contest’s judges are also famous photographers, journalists, photojournalists, and travel bloggers in Vietnam today, including Vietnamese photographer Ngo Quang Phuc, journalist and photo editor Thuan Thang (Zing News) and Travel Blogger Ngo Tran Hai An (nickname Quỷ Cốc Tử).
Mr. Ngo Phuoc Tuan, Head of the project “Hue Waiting for You” – promoting Hue tourism, cum Head of the organizing board of the contest, said that HUEFOTOur 2021 created a new and passionate playground for the photography-loving community in the ancient capital. Through the contest photos, young people can send their love and promote images of their homeland, people and culture of Hue to friends across the country. This is also an opportunity to stimulate Hue tourism following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
