The opening art performance of the Festival “Thuan An – Call of the Sea” attracting a great number of local people and tourists
With the theme “Shimmering Waves”, the Festival “Thuan An – Call of the Sea” takes place continuously for 5 days, from April 28 to May 2 with various art programs, community activities, and sports competitions. The event attracts the participation of hundreds of professional actors, singers, extras, and local people of Thuan An Ward especially.

This is an activity responding to Hue Festival 2022 with the theme “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, step by step reaching the socio-economic recovery and development. Notably, this is the first time that the Festival “Thuan An – Call of the Sea” is held by Hue City after the expansion and adjustment of its administrative boundaries following the Solution No 1264 of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Truong Dinh Hanh affirmed that the Festival “Thuan An – Call of the Sea” is a chain of unique cultural events ahead of the Summer Festival in the framework of Hue Festival 2022 to keep on affirming the brand name Hue – a City of Festivals, enhancing efficiently the promotion on image – culture – people of Thuan An – Hue and pushing up tourism – service activities, especially sea tourism; continuing to create tourism products for Hue.
Ahead of the opening ceremony, many significant activities were held to create delightful and exciting vibes for people; at the same time, creating the connection between people from wards and communes that have been newly merged into Hue City from July 1, 2021, such as ocean boat racing, beach soccer tournament. From April 29 to May 2, various activities will be held at Thuan An beach including folk games, Huda Beer Festival, and the art programs to celebrate the Reunification Day (April 30), community kite festival, etc.
