The IPhO 2023 was hosted by Japan. After a year of being postponed and two years of being held in the form of online, the 53rd IPhO was held in person, from July 10 to 17, with the participation of 398 candidates from 84 countries and territories, making it the biggest IPhO ever.
According to the regulations of the IPhO 2023’s Board, candidates take the experiment exam on the first day, and the theory exam on the second day. Each exam has time duration of five hours. Though the questions in the theory and experiment exams this year are long, they are considered good, as the content is close to life and students in high school.
The excellent performance of the Vietnamese national team at the IPhO 2023 continues to be maintained. Thanks to these achievements, Vietnam is in the top of the IPhO 2023, affirming the quality of education, as well as the right direction in the Ministry of Education and Training’s efforts to detect, select and foster excellent students.
