On the evening of July 13, the award ceremony of the 35th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) took place in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In this Olympiad, Ho Duc Trung, a 12th-grade Biology student, Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted clinched a silver medal.

Nguyen Minh Tai Loc, a 12th-grade student majoring in Physics at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been awarded a certificate of merit by the Minister of Education and Training for his achievements at the Asia-Pacific Physics Olympiad.

Over the past 5 years, the spearhead education has undergone positive changes with many first prizes at the national exams for excellent students, and many subjects such as biology, informatics, and physics have made appearances at the Asian and international Olympiads. The problem posed is that there is a need for investment and joint efforts to overcome difficulties, reach high, and reach far.

On the morning of November 6, the ceremony to commend and reward a student achieving achievement at the 2023 Asia - Pacific Physics Olympiad, and a student entering the final round of the 23rd “Road to Mount Olympia” (with Vietnamese title “Duong len Dinh Olympia”) took place at Quoc Hoc Hue High school for the Gifted.

On the morning of November 5, at the University of Sciences, Hue University (the host), the 32nd Olympiad in Informatics for Vietnamese students (ICPC) in the Central Region took place.

On the evening of July 16, the Ministry of Education and Training said that all five students of the Vietnamese national team, participating in the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2023, won medals, including two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

On the afternoon of July 27, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to commend and reward student who won silver medal at the International Biology Olympiad in 2022.

Having won many high prizes in provincial and national competitions, Truong Van Quoc Dat, a 12th grader at Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted (Hue City), has just won a silver medal at the 33rd International Biology Olympiad in 2022, held in Yerevan city, Armenia with the participation of 231 contestants from 63 countries and territories.
