The Hue Nam Temple Festival will take place over two days on April 10th and 11th (March 2nd and 3rd in the lunar calendar)

This information was provided by the Department of Culture and Sports on April 2nd regarding the organization plan for the Hue Nam Temple Festival (Hon Chen Temple) scheduled to be held on April 10th and 11th (March 2nd and 3rd in the lunar calendar).

According to the organizers, it is expected that there will be about 30 single and double dragon boats and 3,000 - 5,000 participants. On April 10th, after assembling at Nghinh Luong Dinh, the land and boat processions will perform the Ceremony of Declaration and pray for peace. After the ceremony, the religious delegations will board the boats and move to Hue Nam Temple. In the afternoon of the same day, main ceremonies such as the procession of offering to the Mother Goddess and the Council entering the Main Hall of Hue Nam Temple will take place, followed by the organizers beating drums to open the festival and conducting the Ceremony of Declaration.

The Hue Nam Temple Festival is known as a traditional spiritual and cultural activity dedicated to worshipping the Mother Goddess Thien Y A Na, celebrated annually in March and July of the lunar calendar. The event is vibrant and lively, attracting a large number of devotees of the Mother Goddess faith with thousands of people attending. It is also considered a characteristic folk and community cultural festival of the former imperial capital region.
