66,000 domestic tourists visited relics during the day of September 2nd |
According to ticket control data provided by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, as for September 2nd, when all sites in the Complex of Hue Monuments were opened free for all Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese tourists, Hue relics welcomed 66,000 Vietnamese visitor arrivals (witnessing an increase of over 16,700 arrivals compared to the same period of 2023). As for international tourists, 2,184 visited the relics, ticket revenue reached over 357 million VND. Additionally, the Hai Van Quan monument, which has completed renovation and opened free from August 1st, also welcomed over 5.200 visitors.
According to the statistics from the office of the Provincial People’s Committee, from January 1st to September 2nd, the number of tourists arrivals coming to Hue was 2,111,445, including nearly 855,000 international tourists, and that of Vietnamese visitors was over 1.25 million.
During the National Day holiday, Thua Thien Hue expected to welcome 120,000 tourist arrivals, a 22.4% increase compared to 2023, and the estimated revenue from tourism services was 132 billion VND. The average hotel occupancy on August 31 reached about 64%, while it on September 1st was over 80%. Most hotels in Hue City center, beachfront resorts, as well as accommodations near lagoon and waterfalls, and homestays in the area of Hue City, Phu Loc and A Luoi districts were nearly fully booked for these two days.
