Before making landfall, Typhoon No. 6 had already "marked its presence" with fierce waves that hit 1,000 meters of the coastline of Thuan An (Hue City) and Phu Thuan (Phu Vang). With thousands of workdays, hundreds of officials, soldiers, and residents of Phu Thuan commune and Thuan An ward had devoted to working together to withstand the rain, storm, and rough waves, protecting their land and village.

As the complex weather situation continues, Thua Thien Hue Weekly is honored to introduce to readers a series of photos captured by Ho Ngoc Minh, the photographer, during the days when forces worked urgently to mitigate coastal erosion as a way to share the efforts of those on the front lines and hope for a peaceful and harmonious life.
