Hue Monuments Conservation Center wins Vietnam Digital Transformation Award 2024

TTH.VN - On October 5th, the Vietnam Digital Media Association and VietTimes e-magazine held the Vietnam Digital Awards 2024 ceremony in Hanoi. Hue Monuments Conservation Center (HMCC) was honored in the category of Outstanding digital transformation by public service and business units with its solution “Applying digital technology to conserve and promote the values of Hue’s heritage.”

This annual award is supported by the Ministry of Information and Communications, aiming to recognize the exceptional achievements in digital transformation by government agencies, public service units, businesses, and individuals that have contributed to promoting the national digital transformation process.

According to the organizers, this year’s award reached over 5,000 agencies, organizations, and businesses, and received nearly 400 nomination submissions. In addition to major central agencies and technology companies like the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Viettel, FPT, and MobiFone, the award also attracted submissions from local-level units such as district-level People’s Committees, universities, high schools, and numerous individuals.

After two rounds of evaluation by a panel of esteemed technology experts, 45 agencies, businesses, public service units, and digital transformation solutions were chosen for recognition at the Vietnam Digital Transformation Awards 2024. These included 11 government agencies, 6 public service units, 9 businesses, and 19 digital transformation solutions, divided into five categories: Outstanding digital transformation by Government agencies; Outstanding digital transformation by Businesses and Public service units; Outstanding digital technology products, services, and solutions; Digital transformation solutions for the community; and Digital technology products, services, and solutions by foreign companies.

This year’s award attracted many high-quality submissions, utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and cloud computing. Many of the digital transformation solutions and models had significant highlights in digital data applications across fields such as public administration, finance, education, industrial production, and communications.

Mr. Vo Quang Huy - Deputy Chief of the Office at HMCC shared that the center has implemented a series of modern digital technologies as part of the “Applying digital technology to conserve and promote the values of Hue's heritage” solution. These technologies include Electronic ticketing system, Mobile application for visitors to explore Hue Imperial Citadel, Digital identification and exhibition of antiquities, 360-degree virtual reality applications for specific heritage sites, QR code information retrieval systems for some artifacts, and the digitization of the database system… These initiatives have contributed to conserving and promoting heritage values, changing the way people approach heritage, and serving as a bridge to bring Hue’s heritage closer to domestic and international audiences in a professional and modern manner.

Earlier, at the Industrie 4.0 Awards held at the end of September, HMCC was also honored in the category of Top Science & Technology and Innovation Organizations/Businesses.

Since its inception in 2018, the Vietnam Digital Awards has reached over 16,000 agencies and businesses across 63 provinces and cities, attracting more than 2,000 submissions. The award has honored nearly 400 agencies, businesses, public service units, and outstanding digital transformation products and solutions.
