Three scientific works win Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2017

TTH.VN - Thua Thien Hue has three scientific works winning Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2017, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations said on March 12.

After the launch of Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2017, the organizing committee had received 114 scientific works in six fields. It then evaluated and decided to announce the prizes for 41 outstanding scientific works. In particular, Thua Thien Hue province has three works winning the prizes, including one third prize and two consolation prizes.

They are the scientific work of "Advanced ceramics based on TiO2 nanostructures" by Dr. Le Quang Tien Dung and his collaborators at University of Sciences, Hue University (the third prize); the scientific work of "The assessment of landslide risks to improve land use planning: A Case Study in A Luoi district of Thua Thien Hue province" by Dr. Nguyen Hoang Khanh Linh and her collaborators at the Faculty of Land Resources and Agricultural Environment, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (the consolation prize); and the scientific work of "Research on the efficient use of green energy, ensuring the safety of people and the environment in water treatment" by Mr. Truong Cong Nam and his collaborators at Thua Thien Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) (the consolation prize).

It is expected that the closing and awarding ceremony of Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Awards 2017 will be held on May 15, 2018 in Hanoi.
