The exhibition was opened by the Department of Culture and Sports on the afternoon of December 21 at Le Ba Dang Art Space (Hue Fine Arts Museum, No.15 Le Loi St., Hue City).
The activity takes place on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the establishment of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations – ASEAN (1967 – 2023), and the 8th anniversary of the formation of the ASEAN Community (2015 – 2023).
With 100 works of photos, the exhibition offers viewers a “pocket-sized journey” with gorgeous landscapes, impressive cultural activities, or special beliefs, etc., of ASEAN countries. The exhibition contributes to strengthening the solidarity and friendship among ASEAN nations, at the same time promoting cultural exchange and cooperation, fostering mutual understanding and creating closer relations between Thua Thien Hue province and ASEAN countries’ ambassies.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, going through 56 years of formation, ASEAN has become an organization well-known for political cohesion and economically interconnection. Furthermore, the association has also become an important and reliable partner in international cooperation. The exhibition this time creates favorable conditions for Hue locals in particular and Vietnamese people in general to get a deeper understanding of the culture and arts of ASEAN countries.
