Establishing 'Hue Bookcase' to introduce and promote Hue culture

Accordingly, the Chairman has assigned the Provincial Department of Information and Communications to host the implementation after the scheme is ratified, with the cooperation of the Provincial Alliance of Arts and Literature Associations during the process of formulating and completing the scheme. Simultaneously, the Department will cooperate with Provincial Alliance of Arts and Literature Associations in establishing a set of criteria for selecting books by category for 'Hue Bookcase'.

In the short term, books on research into Hue will be prioritized. The Department will also counsel the Provincial People's Committee to set up councils, expert panels and assistant teams in each category to select books with typical values for publishing and re-publishing for “Hue Bookcase”, etc.

The Chairman’s directive to establish ‘Hue Bookcase’ is a practical and necessary act to preserve the reading culture in the era of information technology booming, while at the same time honoring and affirming the role and importance of books. Through 'Hue Bookcase', the culture and people of Hue, together with the timeless refined values displayed in each book, will also be introduced and promoted.
