The event is organized in collaboration with the Trinh Cong Son family, the project “Vietnamese Brands - Golden Moments,” and Vietnam Brand Purpose.

More than just a typical fashion shows, “Dieu – Colors of Time” creates a special artistic space, with the central focus being the outstanding creations of Dieu's Ao dai. This collection is inspired by Trinh Cong Son's song Bon mua thay la (Four seasons of Changing leaves) and presented through four chapters: Chieu Dong”, “Giang Thu”, “Hien Ha” and “Nghinh Xuan”.

The artistic performances convey messages and stories associated with the stages of ups and downs and the development of Vietnamese culture, as well as the flow of time in a person's life. The colors and artistic creativity on the Ao dai depict the four seasons of changing leaves as the “Colors of Time,” evoking unexpected emotions due to their uniqueness and differentiation in artistic elements and techniques.

Models of Ao dai by Trinh Hoang Dieu.

Trinh Hoang Dieu has skilfully and innovatively used a new technique in Ao dai tailoring that no other designer has explored before – the crochet technique. The crochet lines demonstrate the craftsmanship of the artist, made entirely by hand, and serve as a creative highlight in Trinh Hoang Dieu's designs. Crochet is not just a technique; in this collection, crochet lines are an art form, replacing traditional patterns.

The uniqueness of the collection lies in its simplicity, with minimal colors, details, and patterns. Breaking away from dragon and phoenix patterns of Hue royal style, it creates a more expansive space for Ao dai, suitable for various cultural regions of Vietnam. The collection preserves the gentle and graceful essence of Vietnamese women while remaining youthful for the modern and dynamic young individuals.

The “Dieu – Colors of Time” show features the participation of artists such as Alexander Tu and Sebastien Ly - choreographers, Linh Nga – a dancer, Alex Fox – a model, dance group LYRICIST, along with many other artists and models. Notably, it includes the presence of Professor Dr. Thai Kim Lan and the singer Trinh Vinh Trinh.

The Ao dai in Hue life

Throughout the S-shaped strip of the land of Vietnam, Ao dai can be found in every region. Specifically, in Hue, Ao dai has become a part of the cultural identity and unique beauty of the people here. An important milestone in Hue Ao dai costume was in 1744, after Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat ascended the throne in Phu Xuan, he promulgated many policies and mentioned the modification of costumes. Thereafter, during the Nguyen Dynasty, the court issued an order, creating an opportunity for Hue women in particular and Vietnamese women in general to wear Ao dai regularly. Accordingly, the tradition of wearing Ao dai gradually entered the daily life of people.
