It has been nearly 20 years that the Ancient Capital has not seen any metal rock show (a subgenre of rock music). Not only in Hue but across Vietnam, metal enthusiasts are few in number. However, the flow of metal music has always quietly woven itself into the simple life of Hue's people, waiting for the chance to unleash its intense energy.

X-Metal was founded to create a playground and a meeting place for metal bands and fans of this genre. Having organized its first metal show on February 5th, 2005, X-Metal boasts 19 years of experience in organizing shows and tours for rock bands, including international bands in Vietnam.

Following Binh Duong, Hoi An, and Da Nang, Hue was the final destination for X-Metal of their “Middle Of Nowhere” tour. This tour marked the release of the debut album “Hoi Dau Thi Ngan” by Mundane, a Death metal band that writes their own songs in Vietnamese. Alongside the two local bands, Napalm and Cochinchine, X-Metal brought the music of three other well-known rock bands - Wuu, Crossdown, and Mundane - to the audience of Hue.

“This is the first time X-Metal and the band members have ever performed in Hue, but we are eagerly anticipating the support of the metal community here”, said Trung Loki, a representative of X-Metal. The response from the Hue audience did not disappoint the artists. The small space along the Nhu Y River at Cochincung was set alight with the crowd's enthusiasm, proving that the fire of metal rock still smolders in this city, fuelled by the most genuine passion.
