The above information was announced on August 2 by the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam's Piano Got Talent 2024 competition.
The contestants participating in the competition come from more than 40 provinces and cities across three regions of Vietnam, with ages ranging from 4 to 32. The contestants participating in the direct competition round will compete from now until August 4, followed by the award ceremony.
The Vietnam's Piano Got Talent 2024 competition offers a useful playground, and a nurturing environment for young people to hone their skills, connect with their peers, and showcase their passion on stage. The competition does not focus on academic aspects, but instead, will create attractive rules, allowing contestants to freely choose their favorite pieces, or even choose pieces composed by themselves. Therefore, the judging criteria are also diverse, not only considering the melody of the performed pieces but also the posture, expression, and overall demeanor of the performers.
The competition also gathers a panel of judges who are leading experts in the field of piano, including Associate Professor, Dr. Ta Quang Dong (Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Dr. Ha Mai Huong (Director of Hue Academy of Music), Dr. Trieu Tu My (Vietnam National Academy of Music), Dr. Joo Eun Young and Dr. Dang Ngoc Giang Quan (Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music), and Mr. Truong Ngoc Chien, M.A. (Hue Academy of Music).
