“Thua Thien Hue in me” writting contest for students launched

TTH.VN - On the afternoon of April 25, the provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training launched a writing contest “Thua Thien Hue in me” for students of middle schools and high schools in the province.

In prose genre, the works will express the feelings, memories and thoughts of students about the nature, culture and people of Thua Thien Hue homeland. The works can also show the heart-touching moments in the daily rhythm of life that make the students give more love to the place where they live and study, reflect their desire to contribute to the construction of Thua Thien Hue to become more civilized, loving, developed and environmentally friendly...

Each entry should not exceed 1,500 words in length. Contest entries must be new creations, have not been used and published in any mass media or publications, and have not been posted on websites or social networks of any organization and individual.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, the writer, Chairman of the provincial Union of Literary and Art Associations, said that the contest is a part of the goal of the “Project on Development of Literature and Art of Thua Thien Hue in the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030” to evoke emotions, reflections and stories about the culture, nature and people of Thua Thien Hue province; open opportunities for students to express their thoughts and feelings for their birthplace, where there are people they love and cherish.

The entries to be submitted from the launch date to Oct 10th, 2022.
