Gift from the sea in windy season

Hue has started the season of damp and chilly days. If you come to Hue in this season, make sure that you won’t let your time “shrink” in sadness. Instead, treat yourself with familiar, simple, and delicious dishes with local people!

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (2/9/1945 - 2/9/2023), on the morning of September 2nd, on the Huong River, in front of the gate of Hai Ba Trung High School (Hue City), the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 34th Provincial Traditional Boat Racing Competition in Thua Thien Hue Province.

The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

Heavy rains and regulation of hydroelectric reservoirs have flooded some low-lying areas. Residents in these areas had to turn to boats to travel more conveniently.

At the boat parking lot at Chuon Lagoon, golden sunlight dyed a lagoon corner. “What beautiful Autumn days! Oh, my goodness, how mixed my emotion is!” shouted a friend of mine amid the airy space. The group laughed, despite the wind messing their hair.
