Launching of participation in the UpRace 2024 - the Community Running and Charity Fundraising

UpRace is a multi-functional social network, that allows users to record physical activities such as running, cycling, and walking, etc., on devices such as sport watches, mobile phones.

With UpRace, on each kilometer, the users will donate at least 1.000 VND to charity organizations collaborating with this app. The more distance accumulated, the much more money users can raise for social organizations. People participating in UpRace can download this app on mobile phones to run every time, everywhere, without constraints of time and locations, and without any cost.

Starting from 2022, the Vietnam Association in Support of Handicapped and Orphans has used the funds raised from the participation in UpRace to help people with difficult circumstances in the area of Thua Thien Hue province. Specifically, 100 million VND was sent to help handicapped and orphan students overcoming difficulties; while in 2023, supporting livelihood for 8 handicapped families with 80 million VND, as well as funding free for eye surgeries for 38 patients at Hue Eye Hospital with a total of 80 million VND.

The conference had the participation of 150 delegators and representatives of leaders from agencies, departments, organizations, and provincial social establishments, districts, towns, and Hue city. The delegators were also guided to down load and use the app UpRace; thence, spreading the spirit of exercising while calling for donations to support vulnerable people in the community.

The UpRace 2024 registration opens at 10:00 a.m. on September 10. The running will take place on September 20 till the end of October 13.
